We’re happy to announce the successful completion of a coastal home design in Sandbanks, Poole. Sandbanks Road is a new-build three-storey property situated alongside the stunning Sandbanks Harbour in Poole, Dorset.
A Modern Coastal Home
The Sandbanks Road project began with a focus on creating a cohesive modern coastal home that offers high-end functionality and a fresh aesthetic. Initially, the property featured a series of ad-hoc extensions that lacked continuity. Our team worked to streamline the building form, remove these disjointed elements, and establish a unified architectural language.
The facade has been designed with high-quality materials to complement the local coastal vernacular. Large expanses of southern glazing flood offer natural light, expansive views of the rear garden and picturesque harbour.
Contemporary Sustainable Design
Sustainability was a driving factor throughout the design process. This re-build incorporates several energy-efficient features to future-proof the property and reduce its carbon footprint. The introduction of passive solar heating, large glazing with solar shading, and high-quality insulation significantly enhances the home’s thermal performance. Renewable energy systems, including photovoltaic panels and heat pump technology, ensure that the home remains environmentally efficient.

The open-plan layout optimises space and allows for seamless indoor-outdoor living, making the most of the beautiful coastal location. The garden has been thoughtfully incorporated into the design, providing a peaceful retreat for relaxation and entertaining. The design uses neutral tones and natural textures, drawing inspiration from the coastal environment, ensuring the property reflects its location.
