Alex Watts | Architect, ARB

Architect

Alex joined Footprint Architects in 2026, supported by over a decade of experience in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. He completed his postgraduate studies at Manchester School of Architecture in 2015 before qualifying as an Architect in 2017.
Alex has extensive experience in the residential sector, primarily focused on bespoke luxury houses and high-end apartment schemes, but also including work on retirement apartments, household extensions and multi-unit developments. He has a keen interest in utilising BIM and 3D modelling within architecture, using these tools to both support communication of ideas and also as a means to resolve projects from a technical standpoint.
Alex has worked across all RIBA work stages with a particularly keen interest in bringing projects from concept design through to a resolved technical design. He is focused on delivering projects which meet the needs of end-users, both in terms of achieving the clients’ brief, but also with regards to build-ability and enabling ease of maintenance and access for future use.
Alex enjoys drawing and painting as a creative pursuit, as well as travelling, which continues to inform his architectural career.
