Bayley joined Footprint Architects in June 2021 following the completion of his Part 1 Architecture degree at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury. Throughout his course, Bayley undertook a number of projects involving both new builds and the conversion of existing structures.
In the final project of his third year, he focused on expanding on the growing creative hub within Fish Island in London, by combining a variety of performance spaces with sections to undertake and observe the skateboarding community which once thrived in the local area around the time of the 2012 Olympics. His focus during this project was the use of multiple techniques for timber facade finishes and exploring the use of glulam laminated timber to raise the building off of the ground.
Bayley is currently completing his masters qualification at the university of Portsmouth part-time while working at Footprint.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing football and socialising with his friends.
