BV Dairy set within an area of outstanding natural beauty comes ones of Footprint’s latest projects - BV Dairy in Shaftesbury, Dorset.

The brief to design a new welfare/office building has encapsulated the company’s sustainability and core values resulting in an environmentally considerate building set within an area synonymous with English, agricultural history. Its enviable position with far reaching countryside views and diverse wildlife called for a sensitive approach.
The concept of a series of agricultural buildings acting as a journey through the history of agricultural design connected by glazed links was developed. Each traditional barn form is considered with the insertion of contemporary materials and detailing.

The design also incorporates an ecological courtyard that blends the boundary of the site with the countryside matching BV Dairy’s own wildlife inclusion aims. The building will provide a great experience for staff in addition to being a staple for welcoming visitors to the site.
