LUSH Research and Development Centre

Refurbishment and fit-out of an industrial unit for LUSH

Workplace

Poole, Dorset

Awards

Footprint Architects were appointed by LUSH to design the conversion of an existing warehouse space to a multi-use office, research and development, communal space. The project results in an office environment with a focus on reducing employee stress – this is achieved in the open and flexible spaces creating a communal and collaborative atmosphere, a key factor of the LUSH ethos. Open areas and large space allows the client the flexibility and freedom to adapt the spaces to suit any future changes to the internal spaces.

The industrial essence of the warehouse is maintained throughout to match the research, development and production on-site, but also respecting the nature of the building’s typology. Situated on a large industrial estate in Poole, the LUSH warehouse conversion acts as a focal point with its bold exterior mass and typical LUSH branding.

The strong working relationship and understanding Footprint Architects and LUSH have developed allowed for effective and efficient decision making throughout the project.
